Advocates for Friendship Park hopeful after border construction halted
By Friday, the construction trucks and workers that had been visible from the Mexican side of the binational park were no longer seen in the area. Daniel Watman, a member of the Friends of Friendship Park Coalition and one of the founders of the binational garden, said Sunday he was cautiously optimistic.
